BANK REO'S AND THE REO SERVICES PROGRAM
Prospect Mortgage now is the largest independent (non bank or investment bank owned or affiliated) mortgage company in America. We recently entered into an agreement with the FDIC and Indy Mac Bank (IMB) to help the disposal of the IMB REO portfolio. We are in different stages of negotiation with several other major financial istitutions to do the same thing. One bank is in the test market phase in a couple of cities and we expect that roll out to happen soon.
Illinos has over 400 properties in the IMB program with the vast majority in the Chicago metropolitan area.
How does this affect you?
As a REO Specialist Loan Officer working a large number of assets my job is to help the assigned listing realtor close thes deals. We have a number of initiatives to make this happen. No new less restrictive mortgage programs (thats what got us in the situation now), but some great marketing initiatives.
1) I have the list. (very important)
2) I will aid in marketing the properties
3) I will have weekly open houses
4) I will have REO tours and Caravans
5) I will have a REO Specialist Team of Buyers Agents
6) I will develop market to "pre approved" REO Buyers that will be referred to My REO Specialist Team.
There is MUCH MORE to come as we roll out the program. What is most important is that this site will be the central point of information.
There will be opportunities for everyone.
